How to Increase Water Pressure from a Well

You might need to hire a professional plumber because you are facing issues with your water pressure at home. Repairing, installing, or maintaining your water pressure and drainage systems should be left to the experts. This is why you need to hire a plumber if facing issues in this area. Mr. Rooter Plumbing has extensive experience with water pressure concerns.

Check the Air Fill Valve

The air fill valve is an important part of your good system. The valve allows air into your pipes, which helps push water through them. If you have an older home, it may be time for a new one. If it's cracked or broken, water can leak out of the pipe and cause damage to your home. It will only work when it comes time to pump water out of your well.

Get a Pipe Inspection

The pipes that carry water to your home could be clogged or broken. If this happens, your water pressure will suffer because there is less pipe for the water to flow through. You can get a pipe inspection from any plumber in Town 'N' Country or well contractor in your area, who will then be able to fix any problems that they find.

Inspect the Well Water

Sometimes wells run dry during drought or when water usage increases significantly due to population growth and development. Low levels of groundwater supply in wells can cause low water pressure in homes and businesses connected to those wells. If you suspect this might happen at your home or business, contact an expert to check out your well water supply situation.

Get the Pump and Pressure Tank Inspected

If you're having trouble with the water pressure in your home, there are several things you can do to increase it. Installing a new pump and pressure tank, or replacing an old one, can often solve the problem. You can also install a constant pressure system to maintain a steady water flow through your pipes.

If you have a well, it's important to ensure the pump is working properly and there's enough pressure in the well. If you've recently had problems with low water pressure, have a professional inspect your equipment. They'll check for loose connections or leaks and make sure everything is functioning properly.

Install a Constant Pressure System

A constant pressure system uses two pumps instead of one: an intake pump that draws water up from the well and sends it into your home; and an outlet pump that pushes wastewater back down into the well, so it doesn't overflow onto your property. This system will maintain consistent pressure throughout your plumbing system without relying on gravity alone.
